Gluck Sensei began training in Kyushu-Ryu Ju-Jutsu at the age of eighteen at the "Master Dionne's General Vanier Kenpo-Jutsu" dojo in Ottawa, Ontario. Gluck was introduced to "Jack" by a mutual friend and was amazed by Master Dionne's seemingly magical martial combat abilities and equally magical personality. Gluck began training constantly and assisted Master Dionne in teaching his Rape Self Awareness and Defence program to girls' phys-ed classes at Ottawa-area high schools on a daily basis.

Gluck Sensei received his Ikkyu (brown belt) ranking in May of 1997 and began his role as assistant instructor at the General Vanier dojo at this time. After approximately another year of training and assisting Master Dionne with the classes, Gluck Sensei terminated his training to attend College and pursue a career in policing.

In February of 2003, after a five year hiatus from Ju-Jutsu training, Gluck Sensei attended a Nerve Impact Control Tactics seminar with Master Dionne at the Nova Scotia Kyushu-Ryu dojo which is run by Zinck Sensei. At this seminar, Gluck Sensei was presented with his black belt and licence to teach in the pure and family-owned martial combat system of Kyushu-Ryu Ju-Jutsu.

In June of 2007, Gluck Sensei received his Second degree black belt in Kyushu-Ryu. Master Zinck presented it to him in recognition of his hard work and overall knowledge of the Kyushu-Ryu system.

Sensei Gluck has traveled and trained throughout North America and is proud to be certified by Blauer Tactical Systems in the following:
  • Level 1 S.P.E.A.R. System Law Enforcement Instructor
  • Personal Defence Readiness (PDR) Coach
  • S.P.E.A.R. System Tactical Ground Combatives Instructor

Sensei Gluck is an eight-year police veteran with supervisory experience and specialized training in the following areas:
  • General Investigation Techniques
  • Highway Criminal Interdiction
  • Recruit Field Training Officer
  • Background Investigator
  • ATV and Bicycle patrol
  • Domestic Violence Investigator
  • Basic Emergency Management

He has applied his knowledge and experience of real-world violence to educate his students so that they may keep themselves and those close to them safe.

Sensei Gluck is also a certified Level 1 Crossfit trainer and he brings his love of physical fitness and the intense and varied workouts of Crossfit to class

Gluck Sensei established the Kingsville, Ontario Kyushu-Ryu Ju-Jutsu dojo in November of 2003 and is the chief instructor to the dojo's approximately 15 students.
